Camburi Community Center

In early 2005, we trained the Camburi community in constructing a Community Center using the clean and sustainable technology of rammed earth. The space, designed to house a theater room, library, and a future telecenter, was built in partnership with Belgian architect Sven Mouton, with funding from the international NGO Architects Without Borders. The roof structure was made of treated bamboo with a grass-covered surface.
